How to Remove Stains from Different Materials of Arricchi Furniture
Sustainable furniture is not only about the materials used in manufacturing. It also relates to classic design and the time you own them. Therefore, it is important that we take care of our furniture as much as possible and ensure that it is free of stains. Below, we have gathered the best advice on how to best remove stains. This way, your furniture can live its best life and last for many years.
Fabric Furniture
Fabric Furniture For stains on your fabric furniture, it is essential to start removing them immediately for the best results. This process may require significant repetition, so make sure to allow enough time. Removing Coffee, Tea, and Red Wine Stains Avoid using other stain removers unless you have professional help. For spills of thin liquids like coffee, tea, or red wine, use a clean, non-abrasive, non-staining cloth, warm distilled water or soda water, and a mild, stain-free detergent. Always try to treat stains immediately. We recommend quick action as it can yield the best results. If the stain has dried, you must first thoroughly treat the entire surface.
Removing Tomato Sauce, Jam, and Sauce Stains For sticky foods like tomato sauce, jam, and sauce, first scrape off as much as possible with a blunt knife or scraper before proceeding.
Step-by-step:
1. Wipe the liquid with a dry, lint-free cloth.
2. Soak the stain and the rest of the surface with soda water or distilled water to avoid water marks.
3. Mix a drop of colorless detergent or soap suds with the soda water or distilled water. Gently apply the soap suds to the stain and the surrounding fabric.
4. You must treat the entire seating surface to avoid streaks.
5. Do not rub on the fabric! It must be gently patted.
6. If the stain is stubborn, try to remove it again after a few minutes or an hour. Pat with a clean cloth soaked in soda water or distilled water until the soap suds disappear - treat the stain from the outside edge towards the center - continuously rinse the cloth to remove soap residue and discoloration from the stain.
7. Finally, pat with a dry, lint-free cloth.
8. A hairdryer with cold air can be used to speed up the drying process, but this is not necessary.
9. Repeat the above steps if necessary.
10. Do not use the sofa or chair until the surface is completely dry!
After removing stains, any remaining marks may be caused by dust on the sofa, dirt in the water, or residue from the water itself. You can prevent this by regularly cleaning your sofa. For particularly stubborn stains, you can sprinkle baking soda on the damp stain, let it sit for 3 days, then thoroughly remove it. If stains persist, you can gently pat with soap suds from a colorless mild detergent and/or a little soda water. Repeat the above steps if necessary. During the process of using detergent, remember to treat and clean the entire seating surface.
Please note that these tips are for reference only. Many stains require special treatment and techniques. Therefore, we recommend always contacting Arricchi or a professional furniture cleaning company before attempting to remove stains.
Leather
Furniture
If you own leather furniture, over time, the leather surface may develop a patina. This is because leather is a natural, untreated material that is susceptible to damage from oils, dirt, colors, and scratches. It is widely believed that leather becomes more textured and characterful with age. Leather that has matured over the years gives products personality and charm.
To ensure that leather remains in optimal condition, there are some golden rules to follow to prevent damage and encourage natural aging:
1. Leather should be gently pat dry immediately after getting wet. While leather is typically waterproof, it should still be handled with care to maintain its integrity. If outdoors, it can be placed in a safe place to air dry naturally.

2. Leather showing signs of drying should be cared for. Apply a non-oily conditioner and gently rub it into the leather, then wipe off any excess conditioner with a dry cloth.

3. Stains should be cleaned promptly. Before touching the leather, wash your hands (as leather easily absorbs dirt and oils), then use a slightly damp cloth to clean the stain. If stains are stubborn, there are many professional leather cleaners available. Avoid scrubbing vigorously; a gentle wipe should suffice.

4. Leather furniture should store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. If possible, ventilate regularly to prevent the accumulation of dust, debris, and mold, while also protecting the appearance of the leather.
These are the basics of leather care. By following these methods, your leather goods will last a lifetime. For more information on leather care and stain removal, we recommend consulting leather experts or referring to Arricchi's advice.
Natural Stone
Among the many materials used for dining tables, marble tables are quite unique. Unlike wooden, glass, or plastic tables, the smooth texture of marble gives it a distinctive decorative effect.
What are the maintenance considerations for marble?
1. Marble is not resistant to acids and alkalis. Liquids such as fruit juice, coffee, tea, and cola, which have slight acidity or alkalinity, can corrode the stone surface. Therefore, if any spills are noticed, they should be promptly wiped clean and rinsed thoroughly with water.

2. Marble is relatively soft and has low hardness, making it susceptible to scratches from sand grains and metal objects. Therefore, care should be taken when placing items on it.

3. Due to its material properties, if water is allowed to remain on the marble surface for too long, the stone will absorb some moisture. If it cannot be dried in time, the marble will undergo changes such as alkali spots, efflorescence, and mold growth. Once the marble undergoes changes, it will be difficult to improve, especially for light-colored marble. When cleaning and maintaining, the amount of water used should be minimized, and the marble should be kept dry.

4. Do not apply water-based wax or solid wax to marble. Applying water-based wax or solid wax is a traditional and outdated maintenance method from over a decade ago that has serious drawbacks. This can block the natural pores of the stone, preventing the stone from ‘breathing’ normally. Depending on usage density, regular waterproofing and oil protection should be performed.
